We run flatbeds. Not wheel-lift, not a dolly, not a chain and a hope. There is a reason for that, and it is worth two minutes of your time before you call anyone. A flatbed carries the whole vehicle off the ground. Nothing drags, nothing spins, and nothing is taking load through a driveshaft or a transmission that was not designed to be towed. For an all-wheel-drive car that distinction is the difference between a tow and a repair bill. For a lowered car it is the difference between arriving intact and arriving with the front lip in the boot. For a car with a seized wheel bearing or a wheel that will not turn at all, a flatbed is not the better option, it is the only one.
It also means we do not have to ask you the questions that slow everything down. Does it run, does it steer, do you have the key, is it in gear. On a flatbed the answers do not change what we do. We winch it on and we go. Below is what we handle. If you are not sure which one your situation falls under, call and describe it. Sorting that out is our job, not yours.
From everyday breakdowns and commercial vehicle towing to accident recovery, specialty vehicle transport, and difficult winch-outs, we provide dependable towing solutions for a wide range of needs. Our experienced team focuses on safe handling, careful recovery, and getting you and your vehicle where you need to go with confidence.
Cars, pickups, SUVs, minivans and crossovers. This is the bulk of what we do, and most days it is a car that will not start, a car that has been in a minor knock, or a car that has been sitting on a driveway for a couple of years and finally has somewhere to go.
Box trucks, delivery vans, sprinters, cube vans and small commercial vehicles. If a business runs a small fleet around Washtenaw County, this is the call that gets a vehicle off a route and into a shop before the day is a write-off.
Low clearance sports cars, restoration projects, cars with no keys and no brakes, and vehicles whose owners will notice a scratch that nobody else would. Slower loading, more straps, more care.
Off the shoulder, nose-down in a ditch, buried in a snowbank, or sunk into a soft verge after rain. The vehicle is fine, it just is not on the road any more. Getting it out without bending anything is a skill, and doing it wrong is how a recoverable car becomes an insurance claim.
Recovery from a crash scene. This is different work from a breakdown. There is usually a police officer directing things, sometimes fire and EMS, often glass and fluid on the road, and always a driver who is shaken up. We work to whoever is running the scene and we get the vehicle away without making the damage worse.
Two honest limits, so nobody wastes a phone call.
We do not tow motorcycles. A bike needs a different set of straps and a different approach to loading, and doing it half-properly is how bikes get dropped. Until we are set up for it we would rather send you to someone who is.
We do not do heavy duty. Semis, buses, RVs and anything in that weight class are past what our decks are rated for. If you call us about one we will tell you straight away rather than sending a truck that cannot do the job.
Everything else on wheels, including ATVs and small equipment, we can usually move. Ask.
Our service area runs about thirty miles out from Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti sit at the middle of it, and coverage extends east to Belleville, north through Whitmore Lake to Brighton, west to Dexter and Chelsea, and south to Saline, Milan and Dundee. Canton, Plymouth, Northville and Novi are all inside it.
Because we run four trucks rather than one, the edges of that area are not an afterthought. A call from Novi is not automatically a ninety minute wait because the only truck is in Ypsilanti.
Yes. Every tow we do is on a flatbed. It keeps all four wheels off the road, which protects all-wheel-drive systems, transmissions and low front ends, and it means we can move a vehicle that will not run, will not steer or has no key.
Yes, and we do it often. Flat tyres, seized brakes, no key and no battery are all normal. We winch the vehicle onto the deck rather than driving or rolling it. Tell us on the call what condition it is in so the driver arrives with the right kit.
No. We do not handle motorcycles or heavy duty vehicles such as semis, buses and RVs. Everything from a small car up to a box truck or delivery van is within what our flatbeds are rated for.
Call and describe what happened. We will work it out on the phone.
