Breaking down is never convenient. It happens on the way to a shift, on the school run, halfway to the airport, or at eleven at night on a stretch of road with no lighting and no shoulder to speak of. What you need at that point is simple. Someone who answers, someone who tells you how long, and someone who turns up when they said they would. That is the whole job, and it is the part a lot of towing companies get wrong.
Express Towing & Roadside Assistance runs four tow trucks and two service vans across Washtenaw County and the communities around it. We answer our own phone around the clock. There is no call centre in another state routing your job to whoever bids lowest, and no queue. You get a person, a location check, and a realistic time. Most of our calls fall inside 30 to 45 minutes. Traffic on M-14 at five in the afternoon and lake-effect snow in January both make that harder, and when a job is going to run longer we say so on the call rather than letting you find out by watching the road.

Box trucks, delivery vans, sprinters and small commercial vehicles up to the limit of our decks.
Winch out and recovery
Off the shoulder, into a ditch, stuck in a snowbank or a soft verge. Pulled out without adding damage.

We work across a radius of roughly thirty miles from Ann Arbor, which takes in most of Washtenaw County and reaches into Wayne, Oakland, Livingston and Monroe.
Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti are the centre of it. From there the coverage runs east through Belleville and Van Buren Township, north to Whitmore Lake and Brighton, west to Chelsea and Dexter, and south to Milan and Dundee.

Typical response is 30 to 45 minutes across most of our service area. It depends on where you are, where our nearest truck is, and what the roads are doing. We give you a real estimate on the call, and if it is going to be longer than usual we tell you then rather than leaving you guessing.
Yes. We answer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. Nights and weekends are ordinary working hours for us, not an emergency surcharge situation.
Cars, pickups, SUVs, vans, box trucks, delivery vans and small commercial vehicles, plus classic cars, low clearance vehicles and non-running project cars. We also move ATVs and similar equipment. We do not currently tow motorcycles or heavy duty vehicles.
Yes. A flatbed does not need the vehicle to run, steer or have keys. We winch it on. Cars that have been sitting for years with flat tyres and seized brakes are routine work for us.
It depends on the vehicle, the distance and what is involved in getting it loaded. We give you a price on the phone before we dispatch a truck, so you know what you are paying before anyone turns up.
